                          High School Reflection

I attended Strive Prep Excel for 4 years beside one semester it was a very small school but I tried to make the very best of it. This is a little about my experience with attending my high school. My favorite administrator at the school would be Ms.Hernandez. Ms.Hernandez is such an amazing and giving person, she made sure every student has what they need and just being an adult in the building where you can trust and speak with when needed. I could not count the number of times on my hands the many times she had helped me and was just like a mother to me, someone who held me to high standards, saw the best of me, and always made sure to push me and motivate me.Something that I would do differently during high school would be being more worried about my grades.I would change this so that my gpa would be higher and having more opportunities. Another thing that I would change would be not transferring out and moving schools  because with transferring I had lost focus on grades and school and was just hanging out with friends. I had transferred out more because of who went there and not because it was beneficial. My favorite part of high school would be my cheerleading experiences because it opened me up and gave me a boost in confidence as well as all the new people I have met and created great friendships with. If I did not do cheerleading I believe I would not have been involved with my community having the opportunity to do a sport with not just students from my high school but from North as well changed who I was and further developed my personality. If I could give a freshman advice I would tell them to watch their grades to make sure they pass all their classes because it will catch up to you and stress you out. It's better to just get it done that year and not wait until you're a senior to make up those classes, just pass them the first time around. Another piece of advice that I would give them is being involved in your community and sports because it helps you create new friendships as well as if you're shy it will open you up and just having more fun and new experiences as well as it can become a motivation for school. From year to year through high school I had changed a lot, my priorities had gotten straight realizing the grades and GPA were something that would determine the amount of opportunities and help I would receive after high school. The lesson learned that I had gotten was my first 2 years of high school determined a lot academic wise because towards the end of high school I soon caught myself stressed and pushing myself the hardest to even get my overall GPA up at least to a 2.7  .
